Shai Kribus performs as oboist and recorder player with diverse groups around Europe and is based in Basel, Switzerland.

He has studied at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona), the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel), the Conservatorio di Verona and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, as well as having studied orchestral conducting at the HKB (Bern) and Maestro al Cembalo at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve.

He is founder and director of ensemble Il Botto Forte which performs 18th century instrumental and vocal chamber music.

He is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships since the age of 16 in distinction with both oboe and recorder, was a finalist in the 8th International Johann Heinrich Schmelzer competition in Melk, Austria, in addition to being selected an «Outstanding Musician» in the Israel Defense Forces Orchestra in his home country Israel.
