Martin SillaberTrumpet

Spot on: stand-up man

Martin Sillaber was born in Innsbruck. Growing up in Kematen in Tyrol, he made his first experiences on the trumpet at the local music school.

After graduating from the music high school in Innsbruck and preparatory studies at the Tyrolean State Conservatory, Martin began his trumpet studies at the Mozarteum in Innsbruck with Prof. Andreas Lackner. This also later awakened his interest and love for the baroque trumpet.

Martin went on to study at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz with Prof. Josef Eidenberger and regularly went to Malmö to study with Prof. Bo Nilsson. Martin benefited from his training on the baroque trumpet with Andreas Lackner in Innsbruck.

Martin has been a trumpet teacher at the Tiroler Musikschulwerk since 2007 and at the Musikschule der Stadt Innsbruck since 2019.

Besides the ensemble Les Passions de l'Âme, Martin also performs with the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, La Cetra Basel, Capella Mediterranea, R.E.T. Brass Band and many more.

Martin currently lives with his family in his hometown of Kematen in the beautiful Tyrol.
