Emma van Schoonhoven

Emma van SchoonhovenViolin and viola

Spot on: great versatility and delight in playing

Emma van Schoonhoven is a viola and violin player, born in The Netherlands. After her bachelor studies in Manchester at the Royal Northern College of Music, she continued her musical studies and obtained a master in early music at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.

Emma has always been a very passionate orchestral and ensemble player and likes to play a diverse range of music. Making classical music accessible for a large audience and freeing it of its old-fashioned image, is an important mission for Emma. Communicating the magic of music is the most beautiful part of being a musician.
