Ayako WatanabeViolin

Spot on: studied in Italy

Ayako Watanabe was born in Tokyo. She started the violin at a very young age. She later moved to Italy to study with Stefano Montanari in Milan, where she is currently based since graduating in 2010. Ayako has an active performing career in Japan and Europe, and works regularly with ensembles such as Il Giardino Armonico, Ensemble Zefiro, Ensemble Cordia, La Risonanza, Accademia Bizantina. Their recordings appear under the labels Alpha, Arcana, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Ramée, L’oiseau-Lyre, Ambronay, Brilliant classics etc.
