Germán Echeverri

Germán EcheverriViolin and viola

Spot on: appetite for new things (and for biscuits), eye contact (looking at the notes is boring).

Born in Vienna, Germán Echeverri comes from a Colombian family of musicians and grew up in Spain. After studying with Raquel Castro and Pablo Valetti at the ESMuC (Barcelona) and with Amandine Beyer at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Germán Echeverri Chamorro founded the ensemble Der Musikalische Garten with violinist Karoline Echeverri Klemm in 2011. The ensemble won several international competitions in 2013 and has already recorded four CDs.

Germán Echeverri works as concertmaster in several ensembles such as Musica Fiorita, Freitagsakademie Bern, La Cetra Basel and others and plays in various orchestras and ensembles such as the Freiburger Barockorchester, Gli Incogniti and Les Passions de l'Âme.

Germán Echeverri has performed as a soloist in Switzerland, Germany, South Korea, South America and Spain and has given master classes in Switzerland, Ukraine and Colombia.
