Gerd BachmannTrumpet

Spot on: good recipes (see www.247brass.com)

Gerd Bachmann was born in Lienz in East Tyrol (Austria). He completed his trumpet studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In his lessons, Andreas Lackner awakened Gerd's enthusiasm for early music and thus for playing the natural trumpet.

Concert engagements followed with Il Giardino Armonico, Concentus Musicus Wien, La Cetra Basel, I Barocchisti, Venice Baroque, B'Rock Ghent, L'Orfeo, ars antiqua austria, la banda, l'arpa festante, Trompetenconsort Innsbruck, Eliseo, Orkiestra Historyczna and Wiener Akademie.

In addition to Les Passions de l'Âme, Gerd Bachmann is also a member of the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, the Innstrumenti Chamber Orchestra and the R.E.T. Brass Band.

Several years of lessons with Bo Nilsson in Sweden inspired him to write his own textbook for brass players, «s’Tagebuch», which will go online in autumn 2021.
