Pastorella4

When the chalumeau, a reed instrument from the clarinet family, was about to disappear from the stage of music history, Daniel Schubart wrote in 1784: «Its sound is so interesting, distinctive and infinitely pleasant that the entire scale of musical art would have a noticeable gap if this instrument were lost.»
«Pastorella» offers clarinettists Joan Calabuig Gaspar and Álvaro Iborra Jiménez a pastoral idyll with the rarely heard chalumeau, allowing this sound to be resurrected.
At their side as vocal soloist: 2024 Bach Prize winner Lara Morger.
